Abbreviations
- Ch = Chain
- Sc = Single Crochet
- Dc = Double Crochet
- Sp(s) = Space(s)
- Sl st = Slip Stitch
Special Stitches Herringbone Double Crochet – (Hb dc) Yarn Over, insert hook into indicated stitch, yarn over draw loop up and through, first loop on hook, (2 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through 1 loop on hook, yarn over and draw through both loops on hook. (Hb dc completed)

TULUM TEXTURED SQUARE INSTRUCTIONS
Round 1 (Magic Ring): Work, 4 dc, *ch 2, 4 dc,* repeat from *to* 2 more times, ch 2; join with a slip stitch in top of the first dc. (16 dc, 4 ch-2 sps)
Round 2: HB-dc in the same st and in the next 3 sts, *(2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in the corner, hb-dc in next 4 sts,* repeat from *to* 2 more times, (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in the corner; join with a sl st in the first st. (16 hb-dc, 16 dc, 4 ch-2 sps)
Round 3: Sl st in the next st, *hb-dc in next 5 sts, (2 hb-dc, ch2, 2 hb-dc) in corner,* repeat from * to* 2 more times, hb-dc in next 3 sts; join with a sl st in first st. (48 sts, 4 ch-2 sps)
Round 4: Sl st in the next st, hb-dc in same st and in the next 5 sts, *(2 hb-dc, ch2, 2 hb-dc) in corner, hb-dc in next 12 st,* repeat from *to* 2 more times, hb-dc in next 6 sts; join with a sl st in the first st. (40 hb-dc, 12 ch-2 sps)
Round 5: (working in the 3rd loop) Sl st in the next st, sc in same st and in the next 7 sts, (2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc) in corner, *sc in next 16 sts, (2 sc, ch 2, 2 sc) in corner,* repeat from *to* 2 more times, sc in last 9 sts; sl st in top of first st. (80 sts, 8 ch-2 sps)
Fasten off and weave in ends.
