Cables and Post Headband/ Ear Warmer

My daughter Gracie loves headbands/ ear warmers! I decided to make this Cables and Post Headband/Ear Warmer for her. Oh, and she also loves to crochet. Now that I have done the hard work by coming up with the design she can make as many as she wants!
Skill Level: Easy
Yarn: Small amount any #4 Worsted Weight Yarn
This one made using Sincerely Purl Essence Everyday (JoAnn’s), color Sincerely Turquoise #SSS-108, 100% Acrylic 6 oz. /170 grams/322 yds. /295 meters
Crochet Hook: J (6.00mm)
Gauge: Not important
Finished size: 4” wide and 20” in circumference (can be adjusted by leaving out or adding repeat set)
BPDC – Back post double crochet
Ch/Chs – chain/chains
Dc – Double crochet
DTRFP – Double Triple Front Post Crochet
FO Fasten Off
FPDC – Front post double crochet
Sc – Single crochet
SL st – Sllip Stitch
YO – Yarn over
Beginning chains do not count
Front Post Double Crochet (FPDC) – Instructions: yarn over (yo_, insert hook behind post of stitch (from front to back), yo, pull through, bring up even with last stitch completed, yo, pull through 2 loops, (2 loops on hook), yo, pull through remaining 2 lps to complete stitch.
Back Post Double Crochet (BPDC) – Instructions: yarn over (yo), insert hook into the back of your stitch (in other words from back to front), go in front of the post, pull through (3 loops on hook) bringing stitch up to height of previous stitch, yo, pull through 2 loops (2 loops remaining), yo, pull through remaining 2 loops to complete stitch.
Double Triple Front Post Crochet (DTRFPC) – Yarn over hook 3 times(4 loops on hook) insert hook around post indicated, yo pull through loop (5 loops on hook), yo pull through 2 loops (4 loops on hook), yo pull through 2 loops (3 loops on hook) yo pull through 2 loops (1 loop on hook) DTRFP completed
Row 1: Ch 15 turn sc in 2nd ch from hook and across. Ch 2 turn (14 sc)
Row 2: DC in same st as ch and each st across. CH 2 turn. (14 DC)
Row 3: FPDC in each st across CH 2 turn (14 FPDC)
Row 4: FPDC in each st across CH 2 turn (14 FPDC)
Row 5: BPDC in each st across CH 2 turn (14 BPDC)
Row 6: BPDC in each st across CH 2 turn (14 BPDC)
Row 7: DC in same st as ch, BP, FPDC over next 2 st, BPDC over next 2 st, FPDC over next 2 st, BPDC over next 2 st, FPDC over next 2 st, DC in last st. CH 2 turn (14 sts)
Row 8: DC in same st as ch, FP, BPDC over next 2 st, FPDC over next 2 st, BPDC over next 2 st, FPDC over next 2 st, BPDC over next 2 st, DC in last st. CH 2 turn (14 sts)
Row 9-10: Repeat rows 7 and 8
Row 11: DC in same st as ch and each st across. CH 2 turn (14)
Row 12: Skip 1st stitch, DTRFPC in next stitch, DTRFPC in skipped stitch, repeat across DC in last st. Ch 2 turn (6 Cross DTRFP stitches)
Rows 13 – 34: Repeat rows 3 -12 (2 times)
Row 35: DC across
FO Sl st ends together and weave in ends.
