Level of Difficulty – Beginner/Intermediate
Yarn – Red Heart Crème de la Crème 100% Combed Cotton, #4 Worsted Weight, 2.5 ozs/70.9 g/125 yds, Forest (approx. 50 to 75 yds), J&P Coats Size 10 Royale Metallic Crochet Thread, 100 yds, silver (Approx. 50 to 75 yds)
Hook and Notions – Size Hook: H (5mm), 70 decorative beads of choice (I used 4mm pearls, red and green beads, 6 mm red and green and a 8 mm pearl for top), Sewing needle that beads can be threaded onto Royale Crochet Thread
Measurement – 6 ½ Inches wide, 9 ½ Inches height
Gauge – Not important
Abbreviations
Ch = chain
Dec = decrease
Sc = single crochet
Hdc = double crochet
Dc = double crochet
Special Stitch: Picot Stitch – Insert hook into indicated stitch, chain 3, slip stitch into same stitch.
Notes – String beans onto crochet thread and pull up as needed.
Tree is worked holding one strand of each Crème de la Crème and Royale Crochet Thread throughout the project.

Holding 1 strand Crème de la Crème and 1 strand Royale Thread

Chain 21
Row 1: Sc in 2nd chain from hook, sc in next chain, * bead sc in next chain, then sc in next 3 chains; repeat across. Turn (13 sc, 7 beaded sc)
Row 2: CH 1, hdc in each stitch across. Turn (20 hdc)
Row 3: CH 1, * bead hdc in next stitch, then hdc in next 3 stitches; repeat across. Turn (13 hdc, 7 beaded hdc)
Row 4: Repeat Row 2
Row 5: CH 1, hdc dec over next 2 stitches, bead hdc next stitch, hdc next stitch, bead hdc next stitch, hdc next stitch, bead hdc next stitch, hdc in next 6 stitches, bead hdc next stitch, hdc next stitch, bead next stitch, hdc next stitch, bead hdc next stitch, hdc dec over last 2 stitches. Turn (18hdc)
Row 6: CH 1, hdc dec over next 2 stitches, bead hdc next stitch, hdc in next 12 stitches, bead hdc next stitch, hdc dec over last 2 stitches. Turn (16hdc)
Row 7: CH 1, hdc dec over next 2 stitches, bead hdc next stitch, hdc next stitch, bead hdc next stitch, hdc next 6 stitches, bead hdc next stitch, hdc next stitch, bead hdc next stitch, hdc dec over last 2 stitches, turn (14 sts)
Row 8: CH 1, (hdc next stitch, bead hdc next stitch,) 2 times, then hdc next 6 stitches, (bead hdc next stitch, hdc next stitch) 2 times. Turn (14 sts)
Rows 9-10: Repeat Row 8
Row 11: CH 1, hdc dec over next 2 stitches, then hdc in next 10 stitches, hdc dec over last 2 stitches. Turn (12 sts)
Row 12: CH 1, * hdc next stitch, then bead hdc next stitch; repeat across. Turn (6 hdc, 6 bead hdc)

Row 16: CH 1, hdc, then bead hdc in next 6 stitches, hdc. Turn (8 hdc)
Row 17: CH 1, hdc each stitch across. Turn (8 hdc)
Row 18: CH 1, * hdc next stitch, then bead hdc next stitch; repeat across. Turn (8 hdc)
Row 19: CH 1, hdc dec over next 2 stitches, hdc in next 4 stitches, hdc dec over last 2 stitches. Turn (6 sts)
Row 20: CH 1, hdc dec over next 2 stitches, hdc next stitch, then bead hdc next stitch, hdc dec over last 2 stitches. Turn (4 hdc)
Row 21: CH 1, hdc dec over next 2 stitches, hdc dec over last 2 stitches. Turn (2 hdc)
Row 22: CH 1, bead hdc dec over last 2 stitches (this places big bead at top of tree)

Edging

Working down side of tree, Slip Stitch in top of tree, Picot, slip stitch next 2 stitches, * Picot, slip stitch next 2 stitches, repeat around, slip stitch into 1st slip stitch.

Fasten off and weave in ends.
