Customize Your Crochet: Adjust to Fit, Embellish to Taste, published by Creative Publishing International, is a great resource that will teach you how to adjust crochet garment patterns to fit your unique measurements.
There are four cardigan patterns that are written for the Classic Rectangle shaped body in Customize Your Crochet. At the end of each pattern, Margaret includes the directions to help you customize your project to fit The Triangle Body, The Inverted Triangle Body, and The Hourglass Body. Each cardigan pattern is created using a different stitch pattern and they range in levels of complexity.

Customize Your Crochet is divided up into three sections:
In the first section, called “Customize the Fit” contains understanding your body type, how to take proper measurements, the cardigan patterns. It also includes the instructions to adjust the patterns to fit your body type.
In the second section called “Finish Like a Pro.” Margaret discusses the importance of having good habits such as: checking your gauge, counting rows, and having a Foundation Chain. She supplies information on several different methods of seams, attaching sleeves and how to work the borders. She even gives you tricks on how to fix some common mistakes. You will also find the pattern for “Cathie’s Cropped Top” in this section.
In the third section, called “Embellish for Personal Flair,” provides you with some motif and edging patterns to guide you with customizing and embellishing your garments to make them yours. There are also tips for pockets, buttonholes, covered buttons, button collars, sippers, and shoulder pads that are sure to come in handy.
