#DIW2 ~ Mystery CAL Blog Hop Scarf
It’s time to start part 2 of the Design Improv Workshop! It’s lacy and easy to work up. You can find the rules, social media links, etc, HERE!
Abbreviations
- Ch/chs = chain/chains
- Dc = double crochet
- Sc = single crochet
- Sl st = slip stitch
- Sp/sps = space/spaces
- St/sts = stitch/stitches
- Tr – Triple or Treble
Special Stitches
- Bobble Stitch – A 4 tr bobble st, tr in indicated st, * yo twice insert hook into same st, yo pull through,(4 loops on hook) yo (5 loops on hook) pull through 2 loops twice * (2 loops on hook) repeat * to * 3 times (5 loops on hook) yo pull through all loops on hook sc to lock bobble.
- Treble Cross Over – Tr in indicated st, ch 1 Tr in 2nd skipped st, working in front of first tr.
- Treble V stitch (TrV) – tr, ch 1, tr all in indicated st
Notes
- There are deliberately no suggestions as to yarn and/or hook. We want to see assortment!
- Chain 1 and Chain 3 at beginning of rows counts as a stitch
Section 2:
Row 6: Ch 3, tr in next st, ch 1, sk 3 sts, tr cross over, * ch 2, sk 4, (go into the 3rd skipped st for the rest of this row) tr cross over * Repeat * to * across, ch 2, sk 2 sts, tr in last 2 sts. (7 tr cross overs, 40 sts total)
Row 7: Ch 3 turn, Tr in next st, * ch2, sk to sp in the middle of next tr crossover; TrV * Repeat * to * across. Ch 1, tr in last 2 sts. (7 TrV’s, 40 sts total)
Row 8: Ch 3 turn, tr in next st, ch 1, sk ch sp, * tr in next st, tr in next ch sp, tr in next st, ch 2, sk ch sp * repeat * to * across, tr in last 2 sts (40 sts)
Row 9: Ch 3 turn, tr in next st, * bobble in next space, ch 4, sk next 3 sts * 7 times; bobble in last ch sp, tr in last 2 sts (40 sts)
Row 10: Ch 1 turn, sc in each st and ch across (40 sc)
