Colorful Burp Cloth
By Mistie Bush
A new Mother cannot have enough burp cloths, as several will be used each day. I have designed this one soft and large enough to fit over the shoulder.
Yarn: Bernat Handicrafter Cotton #4 about 3 ozs.
This one was made using Calicot
12” x 12”
Ch/chs = chain/chains
Hdc = half double crochet
Sc = single crochet
Sl st = slip stitch
Sp/sps = space/spaces
St/sts = stitch/stitches
Border: The Reverse Single Crochet or Crab Stitch is worked from left to right (or opposite direction)
With right side of project facing you Chain 1, insert hook into next stitch to right, yarn over and pull through, (2 loops on hook), yarn over and pull through both loops. Continue working to until you have reached the end of project. Slip stitch into first chain 1 and fasten off, weave in ends.
Hdc at beginning of rows counts as first hdc for row.
Ch 33, turn sc in 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. Ch 2 turn (32 sc)
Row 1 – Hdc in each st across, ch 2 turn, (32 hdc)
Row 2 – 28 – Repeat row 2. At end of row 28 DO NOT FASTEN OFF work border.
Happy Hooking and Enjoy!
