Hb-dc – Herringbone Double Crochet
Herringbone Double Crochet – YO, insert hook in indicated stitch, YO, draw up a loop and through first loop on hook (2 loops on hook), YO and draw through 1 loop, YO and draw through both loops.
Note: Ch-2 counts as a double crochet unless otherwise stated.
Row 1 (right side): DC in 2nd chain from hook and in each across (22 sts); turn.
Row 2: CH 2 (counts as a dc), * hb-dc in dc; * repeat from * across, ending hb-dc in beginning ch 2, (22 sts); turn.
Row 3: CH 2, * hb-dc in hb-dc; * repeat from * across, ending hb-dc in beginning ch 2, (22 sts); turn
Row 4 – 47: Repeat row 3 for pattern
Row 48: HDC in each hb-dc across.
Cut yarn leaving long enough tail to sew together and pull tail through the last stitch to finish. Match beginning stitches to last row and use mattress stitch to join (your favorite stitch). Weave in ends.
