Hello Everyone! Let me introduce you to my quick and easy Grey Skies scarf pattern. This simple crochet scarf is great at knocking down your yarn stash. It only uses 2 basic crochet stitches which means that this pattern is also beginner friendly!

To crochet this scarf you will only need to know how to crochet the chain stitch and the half double crochet stitch. These stitches are among the first most beginners learn. Using a self-striping yarn will add color and interest to this scarf that even a beginner can crochet!

  • Lion Brand Da Vinci (165 yds) or any self-striping #6 bulky yarn

Hook and Notions

  • Hook Size: N/(10.00 mm)
  • scissors
  • blunt needle

Measurements

  • 6-inches wide and 60-inches long

Abbreviations

  • Ch = Chain/Chains
  • Hdc = Half Double Crochet

Scarf Pattern Notes

  • Weigh your yarn cake: ________ grams
  • Worked from side to side
  • Rule of thumb always check your gauge.

Grey Skies Scarf Instructions

Chain 12,
Row 1: HDC in 3rd chain from the hook and in each chain across. Turn (10 hdc)
Row 2: Chain 2 (See Notes), *work 1 hdc in between the 2 hdc of the previous row,*
repeat from *to* across, ending with 1 hdc in the beginning chain 2.

Repeat Row 2 until desired length.

Fasten off and weave in ends.
