Last Minute Open Weave Baby Blanket

This baby blanket was designed using the Last Minute Open Weave stitch pattern. I love this pattern and have several more designs coming using it. Once it is started it is almost mindless to work as it is just repeats. This blanket was made using Red Heart Gumdrops 4 oz/113 g/204 yds/187 m 5 skeins of Grape and a Brittany J hook.
Yarn: Red Heart Gumdrops 4 oz/113 g/204 yds/187 m 5 skeins of Grape
Hook: Brittany J
Lying flat 36 inches x 36 inches
Ch/chs = chain/chains
Dc = double crochet
Hdc = half double crochet
Sc = single crochet
Sl st = slip stitch
Sp/sps = space/spaces
St/sts = stitch/stitches
Row 1: Sc in each ch across (206 SC); Ch 3 turn
Row 2: Dc in the next 4 sts, * skip next 2 sts, 5 dc in next st, ch 2, skip next 3 sts, dc in next 4 sts * repeat from * to* across; Ch 3 turn (12 fans, and 13 groups of 4dc)
Repeat row 2 until 36 inches is reached DO NOT fasten off continue with edging.
Ch 1, turn and sc in each st and chain space around, putting 3 sc in each corner stitch.
Fasten off and weave in ends
