Woohoo! It’s time to kick off the 2015 yearlong crochet~along here on American Crochet!Every 2 weeks I’ll share a free 12” crochet square pattern, and we’ll make them together. All the patterns will be free for the entire year, and we’ll get to check out an assortment of amazing crochet blogs along the way!
Below is the CAL schedule ~ I will replicate this schedule in each new square post, and add links as we move along, so you may go straight to past posts from each new post as necessary, and see when the next square is scheduled. November and December is for assembly and finishing! There will be 24 squares total, and each of the posts will go live here on American Crochet at 8am Central time on their specified date.

Above is the original, made with 3 colors. This square is elegant looking. I love how this square looks and how the hearts are incorporated into it.
I have been so busy that I haven’t had time to get my yarn yet so, I am going to pick out my yarn this weekend. I will start crocheting it this weekend right along with all of you. When I finish it I’ll share my thoughts, notes, and photos, so watch this area!
Having said that, I know that this square has been tested and comes with an awesome photo tutorial!
