Difficulty – Beginner/Intermediate
Yarn – Red Heart With Love #4, Evergreen
Hook and Notions – Size Hook: J (6.mm)
Measurement – Laying flat width 3 ½ inches, 7 inches long includes a 2-inch cuff
Gauge – Not important for this project
Ch = chain
Dc = double crochet
Hdc = half double crochet
Sc = single crochet
BLO = back loop only
The gloves are worked in the round.
Chain 1 does not count as a stitch unless otherwise stated.
Fingerless Glove Instructions
Row 1: Chain 9, hdc in the second chain from the hook and in each stitch across. (8 hdc)
Rows 2-19: Chain 1, hdc in BLO in each stitch across. (8 hdc)
Join the last row to the first row with a series of slip stitches.
Round 1: Chain 1 (see notes), sc in the end of each row around; join with a slip stitch in the first sc. (20 sc)
Round 2: Chain 1, work (sc, hdc, 2 dc) in the first sc, * skip the next 3 stitches, work (sc, hdc, 2 dc) in the next sc, repeat from the * around, ending with skip next 3 stitches; join with a slip stitch in first sc. (5 shells)
Rounds 3-6: Repeat Round 2
Round 7: Chain 1, work (sc, hdc, 2 dc) in the same stitch as the chain 1, ch 4, * skip next 3 stitches, work (sc, hdc, 2 dc) in the next stitch, repeat from the * around, ending with skip next 3 stitches join with a slip stitch in first sc (5 shells)
Round 8: Chain 1, sc in same stitch as join and in each stitch around; join with a slip stitch in top of first sc. (24 sts)
Round 9: Chain 2, hdc in same stitch as join and in each stitch around; join with a slip stitch in top of chain 2. (24 sts)
Fasten off and weave in ends
