Tumbling Block Scarf

This quick and easy scarf gives the effect of tumbling blocks and V stitches in rows. It is made using basic crochet stitches, Brittany J hook, and Loops & Threads Impeccable yarn. It would make a great gift or addition to your accessories.
Yarn: Loops & Threads Impeccable #4 Medium, 3.5 oz/100 g/192 yds/175 m, 100% Acrylic Color #02009 Stillness, 2 skeins
Hook: Brittany J/10 (6.0 mm)
Laying flat width 5 inches x length 60 inches
Ch/chs = chain/chains
Dc = double crochet
Sc = single crochet
Sl st = slip stitch
Sp/sps = space/spaces
St/sts = stitch/stitches
V-stitch (V-st): In specified sp work (dc, ch 1, dc): V-st made.
Chain multiple: 10 + 1
Row 1 (right side): Dc in 4th ch from hook, * ch 3, sk next 4 chs, (sc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch, sk next 4 chs * * ; V-st in next ch * ; rep from * to * across, ending last rep at * * ; dc in each of last 2 chs, ch 3 (counts as a dc on following row), turn.
Row 2: Dc in first dc, * ch 3, (sc, ch 3, 3 dc) in next ch-3 sp * *, V-st in ch-1 sp of next V-st, rep from * to * across, ending last rep at * * ; 2 dc in 3rd ch of turning ch, ch 3,turn.
Repeat Row 2 for pattern until 5 inches wide or desired width
