Yarn Color Used in This Post:
Part 2: Using Red Heart Super Saver – color: soft white
Herringbone Double Crochet – (Hb dc) – yo, insert hook into indicated stitch, yo draw loop up and through, first loop on hook, (2 loops on hook), yo and draw through 1 loop on hook, yo and draw through both loops on hook. (Hb dc completed)
ch 2 counts as dc at beginning of next row
With the pointed end of your crochet hook poke holes ¼ inch apart, just below your hem and inside the side hem on your towel. If your hook doesn’t work use closed pointed scissors being careful not to make the hole bigger than your hook. It is best to only make one or two holes as they close up fast.
Row 1: 2 sc in first hole, ch 1, * sc in next hole, ch 1 * repeat from * to * across to last hole and work 2 sc in last hole, ch 2 (counts as dc at beginning of next row) turn (30 sc, 27 ch 1 sps)
Row 2: dc in each sc across, sk ch 1 sps, ch 2 turn (30 dc)
Row 3: hb-dc in next st and each st across to last st, dc in last st, ch 2 t urn (28 hb-dc, 2 dc)
Row 4-6: Repeat row 3
