Continuing with topper of the towel using the half double crochet for trim and button
Yarn and Hook Used
The yarn that I selected for the towels are Red Heart Super Saver and using a 5.0 mm (H) Crochet Hook.

Part 5: Using Red Heart Super Saver – color: red
Yarn: Red Heart Super Saver small amount of contrasting color for your towel. Model is done using Really Red
With towel front side facing you attach contrasting yarn to right side foundation row made at beginning. Hdc in side of this st, place 2 hdc in end of rows of each hb-dc, until corner place 3 hdc in corner stitch, hdc in each st across end to next corner, 3 hdc in corner, working down other side, place 2 hdc in end of rows of each hb-dc to beginning, place hdc in first st of towel
Fasten off and weave in ends
Button (or you can sew a regular button on)
Leave 4 inch tail at beginning Ch 4 sl st together to form ring
Rnd 1: ch 1 (does not count) 10 hdc in ring, join with sl st to 1st hdc (10 hdc)
Rnd 2: ch 1 (does not count) 2 hdc in same st as ch, and each st around, join with sl st to 1st hdc Button made (20 hdc)
Fasten off leaving a 4 inch tail – weave tail on back side down to beginning ring on opposite side from beginning tail. Fold hanger over to where end meets ROW 14 (where the 9 sts begin). Place button on the inside 3 rows up and pull tails through to back of topper and tie in hard knot. Pull back to front and tie under button and cut off excess. Button the button between 2 hb-dc 2 rows up from trim.
