Crochet Along
Join me for this awesome new 2018 Special Memories Blanket Mystery Crochet Along. I designed this Special Memories Blanket after hearing that my husband’s co-worker lost his father. My heart broke for him and something kept telling me to make him a blanket and that is how Special Memories Blanket was born. Every time he looks at this blanket he will think of all the memories him and his dad shared and know that we are always thinking of him.

We lost both my father-n-law and grandmother within a few days from each other about four years ago. I am sure that is part of what drew me to design the blanket. Loosing a loved one is always hard to cope with. You may choose to make this blanket to represent special memories that you have made with or are currently making with a special someone. I’m pretty sure I’ll be making a few that show memories that my husband, kids and I have and are making as well as memories that my friends and I have made.
Who knows you may decide to make this blanket to donate to your special charity and that is awesome too. Regardless the reason remember to always have fun making them. Enjoy!

This is only a suggestion and you may use any yarn and hook. Just keep in mind your gauge should still be the same as mine.

Stitch marker, scissors and blunt needle
Blanket Size
33” wide x 33“ long
Gauge
7 stitches + 5 rows = 2 inches
Skill
Easy to Intermediate – stitches will range from beginner to slightly more advanced.

* Tension is necessary for this project to be perfect. However, the same type of yarn and hook throughout the project is recommended. *
I used the stitch markers at the end of the rows when decreasing
You can make this blanket bigger by repeating Rows (will be given later). That will also require you to have more yarn.
