Welcome to our First 2021 Crochet With Mistie Crochet Along! This Crochet Along is more of a stash busting kinda CAL. If you don’t have enough yarn in your stash….don’t worry you can still participate. 🙂 Pick up or order your favorite yarn now!
This Crochet Along is going to be like the ones we have done in the past. We are going to crochet this baby blanket together and share our progress along the way. I am excited to see the different color variations that are chosen.
Now lets gather our materials. 🙂
Here’s a brief summary of how we are going to do it in 2021
- We are going to make a beautiful crochet baby blanket.
- If you get a few weeks behind, you can easily catch up, as the rows are quick and easy as pie to stitch up.

Basic Material Requirements
Yarn
What colors? Whatever your heart desires. You can use multiple colors, a solid color or a gradient of sorts.
You can work with my suggested yarn and color or select your own yarn and colors!
** To make this baby blanket is completely optional. **
MY COLORS THAT ARE USED IN THE DESIGN!
Red Heart Baby Hugs #4, Color A ~ Ink, Color B ~ Princess, Color C ~ Frosting, Color D ~ Happy
Roughly 2000-2500 yards
I fell in love with this yarn on one of my many shopping trips to Joann.
The amount of yarn you will need will alter depending on your yarn weight and hook size. The finished size of your baby blanket will also vary on your yarn.
Hook
Size Hook: I will be using an I (5.5mm) crochet hook.
Notions
Scissors, stitch markers, blunt needle, and tape measure

36 inches
Blanket Gauge
7 sts + 5 rows = 2 inches
