Abbreviations
Ch/chs = chain/chains
Dc = double crochet
FPdc = front post double crochet
BPdc = back post double crochet
Sp = space
dctog = double crochet together

Special Stitches
BPDC – back post double crochet
Step 1: yarn over on hook.
Step 2: Insert hook into hole next to the post of the next stitch, on the “hook side” from back to front
Step 3: Bring the hook back to the back of the fabric around the post, to the hole farther from the hook.
Step 4: yarn over and draw through a loop, bringing it through both sides of the fabric. (3 loops on hook)
Step 5: yarn over and draw through 2 loops on hook. (2 loops remaining on hook)
Step 6: yarn over and draw through remaining 2 loops on hook.

FPDC – front post double crochet
Insert your hook into the front of your work, behind the indicated stitch, and then through your work such that your hook is now at the front of your work again. Pull through final 2 loops on your hook.

BEGINNING CLUSTER
Chain 3, then yarn over insert hook into the ring; yarn over and pull thru;
yarn over and pull thru first 2 loops (2 loops left on hook); yarn over hook; insert hook into ring;
yarn over and pull thru; yarn over and pull thru first 2 loops (3 loops on hook left); yarn over and pull thru all 3 loops.

CLUSTER: Work 3DCtog (work 3 double crochet together)

  • Yarn Over hook insert hook into the next stitch in the row.
  • Yarn Over and draw through the first 2 loops on the hook.
  • Yarn Over insert our hook and draw through the loop, you should have 4 loops on your hook.
  • Yarn Over draw through the first 2 loops only and you should have 3 loops on your hook.
  • Yarn Over and insert hook and draw through that will give you 5 loops on your hook.
  • Yarn Over and draw through the first 2 loops. That will leave you with 4 loops on your hook and will leave 3 have finished double crochet sts.
  • Yarn Over and draw through all 4 loops on the hook.
  • Secure the cluster with a chain stitch.

Working With A

Chain 4, join with a slip stitch to for a ring
Round 1: Chain 4, * dc, ch 1, *
repeat around 11 more times;
join with a slip stitch into 3rd chain of chain 3. (12 dc, 12 ch 1 spaces)
Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join B with a Slip Stitch into any Chain 1 space

Round 2: Chain 3 (See Notes), work Beginning Cluster (See Special Stitches) in same stitch,
chain 2, dc in next chain 1 space,
* chain 2, work Cluster (See Special Stitches) in the next chain 1 space,
chain 2, dc in next space, *
repeat from * to * around; ending with chain 2,
join with a slip stitch in top of Cluster. (6 Clusters, 6 dc, 12 ch 2 sp)
Fasten Off.

Join C with a slip stitch in any dc

Round 3: Chain 3 (counts as a dc),
work (Beginning Cluster, Ch 2, Cluster) (See Special Stitches) in same dc as chain 3,
* chain 5, skip next Cluster,
work (Cluster, Ch 2, Cluster) into next dc, *
repeat from * to * around; ending with chain 5,
join with a slip stitch into top of Cluster. (12 Clusters, 6 ch 5 sp, 6 ch 2 sp)

Join A with a slip stitch in any Chain 2 space

Round 4: Chain 1 (See Notes),
work 2 sc in same space,
* chain 1, work (2 sc, dc in top of RND 2 Cluster, work 2 sc) in next Chain 5 space,
chain 1, work 2 sc into next chain 2 space, *
repeat from * to * around;
ending with chain 1,
join with a slip stitch into top of 1st sc. (36 sc, 6 dc, 12 ch 1 sp)

Join B with a slip stitch in any Chain 1 space before any Chain 2 space worked

chain 4, skip next 5 stitches (2 sc, 1 dc, 2 sc),
hdc in next chain 1 space, chain 2,
work Corner, chain 5,
skip next 5 stitches, hdc in next chain 1 space,
chain 2, hdc in next chain 1 space,
chain 5, skip next 5 stitches, *
repeat from * to * 1 more time;
join with slip stitch into 1st dc. (8 hdc, 6 ch 5 sp, 6 ch 2 sp, 4 corners)

dc in next 2 dc,

skip hdc, work 3 dc in next chain 2 space,
dc in next 2 dc, work corner,
dc in next 2 dc, work 4 dc in chain 5 space,

dc in each stitch of the next 21 stitches until next corner,

join with a slip stitch in 1st dc. (16 dc, 25 BPdc = 100 BPdc, 4 ch 2 spaces)

BPdc around each BPdc and dc, *
repeat from * around;
join with a slip stitch in in top of 1st dc. (29 BPdc, 12 dc)
