Frosty Kisses Blanket ~ Crochet Along

REQUIREMENTS

Level of Difficulty
Advanced Beginner

Yarn
What colors? Whatever your heart desires. You can use multiple colors, a solid color or a gradient of sorts.
You can work with my suggested yarn and color or select your own yarn and colors!
However, depending on the weight of the yarn will depend on how defined your stitches are.

Hooks and Notions
Hooks: I (5.5mm), scissors, tape measure and blunt yarn needle

Measurement
36 inches – using Baby Hugs yarn.

Gauge
Mine is 5 hdc + 4 rows = 2-inches (beginning of blanket)
using the Red Heart Baby Hugs yarn

Abbreviations – US Terminology
Ch/chs = chain/chains
Sc = single crochet
Hdc = half double crochet
St(s) = stitch(s)
Exsc = extended single crochet
CL = cluster

I used Red Heart Baby Hugs #4 in Ink, Princess, Frosting, and Happy. You may use any size yarn and the recommended hook size. However, depending on the weight of the yarn will depend on how defined your stitches are.
If your yarn suggests using a I hook, then that’s what you will use. UNLESS you crochet to tight or to loose. Then you may want to adjust your hook size accordingly.
Chain 3 at beginning of row does counts as a stitch.

Working with Color A

Row 81: Chain 2, skip the chain space, exsc in each stitch across, ending with skip the last stich, hdc in the chain 2 space. Turn

Rows 82-83: Repeat Row 81
Fasten off Color A and attach Color B

Rows 84-88: Repeat Row 81
Fasten off Color B and attach Color C

Rows 89-90: Repeat Row 81
Fasten off Color C and attach Color D

Rows 91-92: Repeat Row 81

Row 93: Chain 2, skip the next stitch, *hdc in next stitch, slip stitch in next stitch,* repeat from *to* across, ending with skip the last stitch, hdc in the chain 2 space. Turn

Rows 94-96: Repeat Row 93
Fasten off Color D and attach Color A
