Special Stitch — Third-Loop Single Crochet
With the front of the stitch facing you, look at the top of the stitch and find the sideways “V.” Now bend the stitch forward to look at the back, and you’ll see another “V.” You’ll work into the back loop of that second “V” — this is the third loop. When you’re working across the row, the third loop should be facing you. It’s what gives this burp cloth its lovely ridged texture.
