Measurement
At this point you should roughly measure: 29″ by 5″ (keep in mind I crochet tightly and the thread type makes a difference)
Abbreviations
CA = Color A – Black
CB = Color B – Purple
CC = Color C – Pink
Ch/chs = chain/chains
Dc = double crochet
Sp/sps = space/spaces
St/sts = stitch/stitches
Special Stitches
Herringbone Double Crochet – (Hb dc) – yo, insert hook into indicated stitch, yo draw loop up and through first loop on hook (2 loops on hook), yo and draw through 1 loop on hook, yo and draw through both loops on hook. (Hb dc completed)

Moss Stitch – Here is her tutorial for the Moss Stitch.
Notes
If you are using more than one color you can alternate them changing at the end of every row.
At the end of round 5 there should be 120 stitches.
Part 2 is working Rounds 6-10.
Round 7 and 8 are worked using the Moss stitch
Rounds 9 and 10 are working Aunt Aggie’s Mesh Stitch

Instructions
Change color
Round 6: Chain 1, hb-dc in same stitch as join and in each stitch around; join in top of 1st hb-dc, (120 hb-dc)
Change color
Round 7: Chain 1, hdc in same stitch as join, slip stitch into next stitch, * hdc in next stitch, slip stitch in next stitch, * repeat from * to * around; joining with sl st in 1st hdc, (120 sts)
Change color
Round 8: Chain 1, slip stitch in same stitch as join, * hdc in slip stitch, slip stitch in top of hdc, * repeat from * to * around; joining with slip stitch in 1st slip stitch.
Change color
Round 9: Chain 2, Yarn Over, insert hook into same stitch as chain, pull yarn through, skip 1 stitch, insert hook into next stitch, pull yarn through, Yarn Over, pull through all 4 loops, chain 1; * Yarn Over, insert hook into same stitch as last loop, pull yarn through, skip 1, pull yarn through next stitch, Yarn Over, pull through all 4 loops, chain 1, * Repeat from * to * until last 2 stitches. Yarn Over, insert hook into same stitch as last loop, pull the yarn through, skip 1, insert hook into next stitch, pull yarn through, Yarn Over, pull through all 4 loops; joining with slip stitch in top of 1st stitch.
Change color
Round 10: Chain 2, Yarn Over, insert hook into 1st space (directly next to chain 2), pull yarn through, insert hook into next space, pull yarn through, Yarn Over, draw yarn through all 4 loops, chain 1; * Yarn Over, insert hook into same space as last loop, pull yarn through, insert hook into next space, pull yarn through, Yarn Over, draw yarn through all 4 loops; chain 1*; repeat from * to * until last stitches, Yarn Over, insert hook into same stitch as last loop, pull yarn through, insert hook into top of chain 2 from previous row, Yarn Over, draw through all 4 loops; join in top of chain 2.
