- Herringbone Double Crochet (Hb dc): Yarn Over, insert hook in indicated stitch, yarn over, draw up a loop and through first loop on hook (2 loops on hook), yarn over and draw through 1 loop, yarn over and drawn through both loops.
- 3rd Loop = With the front of the stitch facing you, look at the top of the stitch, and find the sideways “V”. Next, bend the stitch to look at the back, and you should see another “V”. You’ll be working into the back loop of that “V”, this is called the 3rd loop. When working in across, like you are in the square the 3rd loop should be facing you.
Tips for Crocheting the Pedigo Square
- Stitch Tension: Be mindful of your tension to keep your square the right size. Adjust your hook if needed.
- Blocking: Once you’ve finished your square, block it to ensure it stays in perfect shape, especially for the larger project you’ll be working toward!
