Speckled Nest Eggs Set

Description

Meet the Speckled Nest Eggs Set — a charming collection of three amigurumi eggs stitched with love and designed to bring a little handmade magic to your spring décor.

This is my very first amigurumi pattern and I designed every stitch of it to be completely beginner friendly. Three egg variations in one PDF — and extra amigurumi tips included inside for first timers. We are learning this together!

This pattern is Week 3 of the Stitch the Season: Spring Awakening CAL — launching Sunday May 3, 2026. Learn more about the CAL and visit the hub page for the full collection.

What is included — three egg variations:

  • The Plain Egg — clean, classic, and beautiful in any colorway. Make a set of all plains in coordinating pastels for a simple, elegant look.
  • The Speckled Egg — worked in the plain egg construction with French knot embroidery added after completion for a natural speckled effect. A beautiful robin’s egg look in blue or any color you love.
  • The Striped Seed Stitch Egg — alternating color stripes worked in seed stitch create a beautifully textured, modern spring egg. Two colors, endless combinations.

Choose smooth over textured avoid fuzzy, fluffy, or highly textured yarns such as chenille, velvet, or mohair blends. These hide your stitch definition and make it difficult to see where to insert your hook — especially important for amigurumi worked in tight rounds.
