Feel free to share with us what you have been up to as well. We love getting to know more about our A.C. (American Crochet) Family. Enjoy!

Today is going to be a little different than normal. I want to kick off RV Monday’s by telling you a little bit about what we have been doing since I decide to start this segment. Between our personal lives and the businesses steadily changing and growing we decided it would be fun to keep you in the loop.

Towards the end of January we prepped for our first camping trip with the girls (Peanut, Jelly and Blitz). Dyed yarn to send with Dawn @Four Hens Fiber. She taught crochet classes at the Fiber Fun on the River Retreat in Mississippi the beginning of February. Along with getting ready for the retreat we have been prepping for our first, three Fiber events of the year. If you are in the Irving, TX area April 5th -7th be sure to come see us at the DFW Fiber Fest, we will be in booth 502. We will be at the Texas Yarn Lovers Event in Fayetteville, TX April 27th and Yellow Rose Fiber Producers Fiesta in Sequin, TX May 3rd & 4th. I will be teaching at the Yellow Rose Fiber Producers Fiesta, be sure to sign up for one of my classes.

My husband had to work in Morgan City, LA for a few days. After tossing the idea around we decided the kids, girls and I would go with him. Getting ready for our first camping trip with the girls was a lot more work than we had anticipated. You don’t really realize what all three small puppies need until you get ready to go somewhere with them. We had to take all three to the Vet to get shots, heart worm and flea and tick medicine before going. We decided to leave on February 2, 2019 so it wouldn’t be so hard on the girls and they would have “Daddy time” before he went to work on Monday. h

We arrived at our destination around 8pm Saturday night. The girls did such a great job traveling and no one got sick. I say that because our little Peanut occasionally gets car sick. On Sunday we picked up a few necessities, setup all the things that we couldn’t Saturday night and hung out at our camper the rest of the day.

We were having so much fun that we decided to extend our stay by a few days. Since we decided to stay longer we washed clothes at the Campground laundry mat instead of making a trip to the store to buy more clothes. That allowed us to get some work and school work done or chill out as well.

The Cloutier Pavilion is where we hung our some and washed laundry.

We all enjoyed being outdoors, getting to grill burgers and hot dogs and roast marshmallows by the fire. The girls loved being outdoors, getting to go for a run, having free roam of the camper and getting to sleep with the kids (they do not do at home), watching the birds, our neighbors dogs and kids playing. Even with the occasional rain we still had a lot of fun. The girls had a few accidents in the camper so, Gracie and I ended up washing a few more loads of laundry. The only annoying thing we encountered was this gooey stuff that kept getting stuck in the girls paws. We enjoyed camping at Lake End Park so much and cannot wait to go back!

I took a lot of pictures and videos of them and the kids. I am working on a setup so I can share the videos with you.

Happy Hookin!

  1. Enjoyed hearing about your camping trip. Things busy around here too. We have made one trip but have stayed close to home with this crazy weather. Since adopting Magic we are working on her house manners but she has bloomed into a sweet kitty. Also am crocheting away trying to finish projects on the to do list and teaching. Hope to see ya soon! Vicki

    1. Hi Vicki!
Glad to hear Magic is thriving. I look forward to seeing updated pics of her and your latest crochet project. Congratulations on teaching. Hope to see you in a week at DFW!

      Hugs,
      Mistie
