How to Crochet a Lovey for Babies
Chain 49,
Row 1: V stitch in 3rd chain from hook (skipped chains count as turning chain and first sc), * skip next chain, sc in next chain, ** skip next chain, V stitch in next chain, * repeat from * to * across ending with last repeat at. ** Turn
Row 2: Chain 4 (counts as first dc and chain 1 space), * (sc, chain 1) in V stitch, (dc, chain 1) in next sc, * repeat from * to * across working last (dc, chain 1) into turning chain of previous row. (Last chain 1 made counts as turning chain and first sc for the next row.) Turn
Row 3: * V stitch in next sc, sc in next dc, * repeat from * to * across. Turn
Rows 4 – 87: Repeat Rows 2 and 3 ending with a Row 2. Turn
Fasten off and weave in ends
