COLORS: A – Sunshine (yellow); B – Watermelon (pink); C – Lilac (purple) ; D – Olive (Green); E – Fig (purple); F – Lime (green); G – Rose (pink)

INSTRUCTIONS:

NOTE: This is SQUARE THREE – you need to make 3 for the Groovy Baby Blanket. With color A Make a magic ring – (need to learn how to make the magic ring? Click Here!) RND 1: CH 5 (counts as 1 DC plus 2 CH); work 1 DC into ring; *CH 2; work 1 DC into ring. Repeat from * 5 more times. CH 2; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH. 8 DC; 8 x 2 CH spaces) Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join color G into any 2 CH space RND 2: CH 3; work a 3 DC Cluster into SAME space; CH 3; *work 4DC Cluster into NEXT 2 CH space; CH3. Repeat from * 6 more times; SL ST into top of 3DC Cluster. (8 X 3 CH spaces; 8 x petals) Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join color D into any 3 CH space RND 3: CH 1; work 3 SC into 3 CH space; work 1 SC into top of NEXT CLUSTER; *work 3 SC into NEXT 3 CH space; work 1 SC into top of NEXT CLUSTER. Repeat from * 6 more times. (32 SC) Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join color E  into any CLUSTER SC (the sc that was worked into the top of a cluster) RND 4: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into same SC; CH 1; SKIP 2 SC; work 3 HDC into next SC; CH 1; SKIP 1 SC; work 3 HDC into next SC; SKIP 2 SC; *work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into NEXT SC; CH 1; SKIP 2 SC; work 3 HDC into next SC; CH 1; SKIP 1 SC; work 3 HDC into next SC; SKIP 2 SC. Repeat from * 2 more times. (24 HDC; 4 x corners) Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join color F  into any 2 CH corner space RND 5: CH 3 (counts as 1 DC); work [1 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into same 2 CH space; work 1 DC into each DC/HDC and 1 CH space of previous round until next 2 CH corner space; Work [2 DC; 2 CH; 2 DC] into 2 CH corner space; work 1 DC into each DC/HDC and 1 CH space of previous round until next 2 CH corner space.] x 3; SL ST into 3rd of 3 CH. (17 DC on each side = 68 DC) Fasten off and weave in ends.

Join color B  into any 2 CH corner space RND 6: CH 3; work a 3 DC Cluster into SAME space; work BPDC around each DC until next 2 CH corner space; *work 4DC Cluster into 2 CH corner space; work BPDC around each DC until next corner. Repeat from * 2 more times; SL ST into top of 3DC Cluster. Fasten off and weave in ends.

Final Stitch Count = 17 BPDC on each side PLUS 1 x 4DC Cluster in each corner

 When blocked the Wildflower Granny Square should be approx 4 & 1/2 inches with DK (no 3) yarn and 4.00 mm hook. Please do note this can differ due to yarn, hook and tension!
