Description
Meet my bestselling design — the Flying Butterflies Poncho. Worked in DK weight yarn with an H hook, this stunning open lace poncho creates a sweeping, wing-like silhouette that is equal parts whimsical and elegant. The airy stitch structure gives it beautiful drape and movement, making it completely wearable from spring through fall. One size fits most — and it looks absolutely stunning in any colorway.
Originally designed for Yarnorama and the 2016 Hill Country Yarn Crawl, the Flying Butterflies Poncho has stood the test of time — and it’s been a maker favorite ever since.
The sample shown was made in Noro Tokonatsu. Another beautiful version was worked in Juniper Moon Zooey. This pattern truly shines in any DK weight yarn you love.
