CASHTON BABY BLANKET
REQUIREMENTS
Level of Difficulty
- Beginner/Intermediate
Yarn
- Sweet Roll, Butterscotch Pop, 980 yards
Hook and Notions
- Size Hook: I (5.5 mm), scissors, stitch markers and blunt needle
Measurement
- 36 inches wide
Gauge
- 10 sts in pattern + 4 rows = 2 inches (unblocked)
Abbreviations
- Ch/chs = chain/chains
- Sc = single crochet
- Dc = double crochet
- St(s) = stitch(s)
Blanket Pattern Notes
- Worked from side to side
- 980 yards, I used #4worsted weight in Sweet Roll Butterscoth
- I used the J hook to chain with. This keeps my chain from being tight.
- Chain 3 at beginning of row counts as a dc unless otherwise stated.
- For this particular blanket I did not add an edging per my clients request. We didn’t feel that it need one.

Using I hook
Chain 112
Working with I hook
Row 1: Dc in 3rd chain from the hook, chain 2, sc in same stitch, *skip next 2 chains, work (2dc, ch 2, sc) in next chain,* repeat from *to* across. Turn
Row 2: Chain 2, skip 1st sc, work (dc, ch 2, sc) in 1st chain 2 space, *skip (2 dc, sc), work (2dc, ch 2, sc) in next chain 2 space,* repeat from *to* across. Turn
Repeat Row 2 until blanket measure desired length.
