  • Red Heart Super Saver, Medium weight #4, 7 oz/198 g/370 yds/338 m
  • Café Latte #E300-0360 – 3 skeins
  • Cornmeal #E300-0320 – 1 skein
  • Claret #E300-0378 – 1 skein
  • Soft White #E300-0316 – 1 skein

Hook and Notions

  • hook size: I (5.5mm)
  • Scissors
  • Yarn needle (for joining)

Special Stitches

  • Hounds tooth – * single crochet in indicated stitch, double crochet in next stitch *, repeat as directed or until end of row/round.  Next row working double crochet in single crochet and single crochet in double crochet

Easy Fall Shawl Crochet Pattern Instructions – Part 3

Start with Cafe Latte,
Row 14:  Chain 2, work 2 hdc in same stitch, hdc in the next 51 stitches, work (2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc) in chain 2 space, hdc in the next 51 stitches, work 3 hdc in last stitch (114 hdc, 1 ch 2 sp)
Row 15: Chain 4, work 2 tr in same stitch, tr in the next 55 stitches, (2tr, ch2, 2tr) in chain 2 space, tr in the next 55 stitches, 3 tr in last stitch. (120tr, 1 ch 2 sp)
Row 16: Chain 3, work 2 dc in same stitch, alternate fpdc and bpdc in next 59 stitches, work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in center chain 2 space, alternate fpdc and bpdc in next 59 stitches, work 3 dc in last stitch. (128 dc, 1 ch 2 sp)
Row 17:  Chain 2, work 2 hdc in same stitch, hdc in the next 62 stitches, work (2 hdc, ch 2, 2 hdc) in chain 2 space, hdc in the next 62 stitches, work 3 hdc in last stitch. (134 hdc, 1 ch 2 sp)
Row 18: Chain 3, work 2 dc in same stitch, * sc in next stitch, dc next stitch, * repeat from * to * to center chain 2 space, work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in center chain 2 space; repeat from * to * to last stitch, work 3 dc in last stitch. (33 dc, 33 sc, 1 ch2 sp = 142 sts)
Fasten Off; change color – Claret
Rows 19: Chain 3, work 2 dc same stitch, * dc in next stitch, sc in next stitch, * repeat from * to * to center chain 2 space, work (2 dc, ch 2, 2 dc) in center chain 2 space, * dc in next stitch, sc in next stitch, * repeat from * to * to last stitch, work 3 dc in last stitch. (35 dc, 35 sc, 1 ch 2 sp = 150sts)
Fasten Off; change color – White
Row 20: Repeat Row 18. (37 dc, 37 sc, 1 ch 2 sp = 158 sts)
Fasten Off; change color – Corn Meal
Row 21: Repeat Row 19. (39 dc, 39 sc, 1 ch 2 sp)
