Still working hard to get us back on track and keep our Happy Throw grooving right along. You are probably wondering why this section includes three parts. Well it’s just that simple…when I chose this stitch I could not just stop after our designated four rows. There is just something about this stitch that just kept calling to me not to mention puts a smile on my face. I don’t know about you but I can’t help but see tiny little eggs. REQUIREMENTS

Level of Difficulty Advanced Beginner Yarn What colors? Whatever your heart desires. You can use multiple colors, a solid color or a gradient of sorts. The only requirement is your colors make you happy. ? You can work with my suggested yarn and color or select your own yarn and colors! However, depending on the weight of the yarn will depend on how defined your stitches are. Hooks and Notions Hooks: I (5.5mm), scissors, tape measure and blunt yarn needle Measurement 40 inches – using dreamy yarn. Gauge Mine is 12 hdc + 2 rows = 4-inches (beginning of blanket) using the Red Heart dreamy yarn Abbreviations – US Terminology Ch/chs = chain/chains Sc = single crochet Hdc = half double crochet St(s) = stitch(s) Dc = double crochet Tr = treble crochet sc3tog = single crochet 3 together BPdc = back post double crochet FPdc = front post double crochet Cl = cluster

Pattern Notes Queue & Favorite on Ravelry! Chain 1 at beginning of row does NOT count as a stitch I used 3 colors of Red Heart Dreamy #4 yarn. You do not have to use 4 colors. You can use as little or as many colors as your heart desires. The only requirement is your colors make you happy. ? You may use any size yarn and the recommended hook size. However, depending on the weight of the yarn will depend on how defined your stitches are. If your yarn suggests using a I hook, then that’s what you will use. UNLESS you crochet to tight or to loose. Then you may want to adjust your hook size accordingly. Chain 3 at beginning of row does counts as a stitch.

Because I am a tight crocheter I used the J crochet hook to chain with, so the chain isn’t to tight. This will also keep it from buckling. If you crochet loosely then you really shouldn’t have to go up a hook size when chaining. Rule of thumb always check your gauge. **If you choose to use Red Heart dreamy try not to make an oopsy as this yarn is not as forgiving when ripping out. My suggestion to you is be really careful when ripping out otherwise you will have a bigger mess than you’d like.** ***With this section of the blanket you will want to pay close attention to your tension. If your tension is off the blanket will either start to pull inward or it will be wider than the rest of the blanket.*** Special Stitches Cluster – in indicated stitch – (yarn over, insert hook and draw up a loop) 3 times. COLORS: A – Dark Taupe; B – Ivory; C – Rose Working with Color B Row 73: Chain 1, sc in same stitch, *CL in the next stitch, sc in the next stitch,* repeat from *to* across, ending with a sc in the last two stitches. Turn Row 74: Chain 1, sc in the same stitch, sc in each stitch across. Turn (120 sc) Row 75: Chain 1, sc in the same stitch, sc in the next stitch, CL in the next st, *sc in the next st, CL in the next stitch,* repeat from *to* across, sc in the last two stitches. Turn Row 76: Repeat Row 74 (120 sc) Rows 77-78: Repeat Rows 73 & 74 Turn Fasten off Color B and attach Color C Rows 79-84: Repeat Rows 75 & 76 Turn Fasten off Color C and attach Color B Rows 85-88: Repeat Rows 75 & 76 Turn Fasten off Color B and attach Color A Row 89: Chain 1, hdc in same stitch, hdc in each cluster and sc across.
