Kids Big Boy Scarf

I designed this Kids Big Boy Scarf for my nephew.  I had made him one when he was a toddler. Now that he is getting to be a big boy he wanted me to make him a “Big Boy” scarf.  As you can see he got just what he wanted. I hope you enjoy it!!

Level of Difficulty – Beginner Yarn – Red Heart Hopscotch, Scooter; 210 yards Hook and Notions – Hook: I (5.5mm), scissors, blunt needle Measurements – 6 ½ -inches wide x 45-inches long Gauge – 6 dc + 4 rows = 2-inches Abbreviations Ch/chs = chain/chains Sc = single crochet Dc = double crochet Special Stitches FHDC – (Foundation Half Double Crochet) Chain 2, yarn over, insert hook into first chain (2^nd from the hook), yarn over, pull up through the first loop on the hook (this is your first chain loop). With 3 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through 3. * Yarn over, insert your hook into the first chain loop, yarn over, pull up a loop (this is your second chain loop), yarn over, pull through 3. 2 fhdc completed. Repeat from * until you reach the desired number of fhdc.  

Instructions

FHDC 20 Row 1: Ch 2, dc in each stitch across (20 dc). Turn Rows 2-74: Repeat Row One Row 75: Sc in each stitch across. (20 sc) Fasten off and weave in ends!
