Serendipity do dah Baby Blanket was designed by me for my charity Crafting A Rainbow Of Hope. The lovely baby blanket makes for a great baby shower gift. Level of Difficulty – Beginner Yarn – Premier Deborah Norville Serenity Chunky Weight #5 Bulky – color Kitty, 4 skeins at 109 yards per skein = 436 yards for this project Hook and Notions – Hook: L (8mm), scissors and blunt needle Measurement – 24-inches wide and 36-inches long Gauge – Not important for this project. Abbreviations Ch = chain Dc = double crochet Hdc = half double crochet Sc = single crochet Special Stitches FHDC – (Foundation Half Double Crochet) Chain 2, yarn over, insert hook into first chain (2nd from the hook), yarn over, pull up through the first loop on the hook (this is your first chain loop). With 3 loops on hook, yarn over, pull through 3. * Yarn over, insert your hook into the first chain loop, yarn over, pull up a loop (this is your second chain loop), yarn over, pull through 3. 2 fhdc completed. Instructions

FHDC (see notes) 46 Row 1: Chain 1 (counts as sc), work 2 dc in first stitch, * skip 2 stitches, work (1 sc, 2 dc) in next stitch, * repeat from * to * across to last 3 stitches, skip 2 stitches, sc in the beginning chain 1. Turn (46 stitches) Row 2: Chain 2 (counts as hdc), hdc in each stitch across and beginning chain. (46 hdc) Rows 3-51: Repeat Rows 1 & 2; ending with Row 2 Row 52: Chain 1 (counts as a sc), sc in each hdc across.
