Terms: US crochet terms
Yarn: Approx. 150 yards of #4 worsted cotton. I used Premier Home Cotton in Peach and Oak — any worsted-weight cotton works beautifully.

Finished Sizes:
- Jelly (12 oz) — 5″ tall by 4 1/2″ wide
- Pint (16 oz) — 5″ tall by 4 1/2″ wide
- Pint and a half (24 oz) — 6 1/2″ tall by 5 1/2″ wide
Gauge:
- Jelly & Pint — base measures about 2″ across after Round 3
- Pint and a half — base measures about 3 3/4″ across after Round 6
- Work to fit your jar
Good to know: You should be comfortable with basic crochet stitches — chain, single crochet, half double crochet, and slip stitch — worked in the round.
📝 Pattern Notes
- Originally designed in May 2017 — I made a whole batch for my mom’s wedding reception.
- Worked bottom-up: a flat circle base in the round, then the textured shell walls. Comes in three sizes.
- Tip: weigh your yarn cake before you start so you can track how much you have left.
